Job Responsibilities

As a Nurse Extern in our 4W Orthopedics department, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced healthcare professionals and gain hands-on experience in orthopedic nursing. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting registered nurses with patient assessments and vital sign measurements
  • Performing therapeutic procedures under the supervision of licensed nurses
  • Administering medications and documenting patient response
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of nursing care plans
  • Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care

Qualifications

To excel in the role of Nurse Extern - 4W Orthopedics, the following qualifications are required:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program
  • Completed basic nursing fundamentals coursework
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
