Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Labor & Delivery department, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and skilled care to expecting mothers before, during, and after childbirth. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and monitoring the mother and fetus
  • Assisting during labor and delivery
  • Administering medications and pain management techniques
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to mothers and families
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Documenting patient information accurately
  • Conducting newborn assessments

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent
  • Prior experience in Labor & Delivery or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of obstetric nursing practices and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
