  • Adhering to strict quality control and safety protocols

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the position of Medical Laboratory Tech/Medical Technologist in Microbiology should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist
  • Strong knowledge of microbiology principles and laboratory procedures
  • Experience in performing a wide range of microbiology tests, including culture and sensitivity, identification of microorganisms, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing
  • Proficiency in using laboratory instrumentation and software
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
