As a Grossing Technician, you will assist pathologists and laboratory professionals in ensuring accurate diagnosis by accurately recording and identifying specimens, dissecting tissues, and maintaining proper documentation to contribute to the overall patient care process.

Responsibilities of a Grossing Technician

  • Accurately record and label surgical specimens for identification and tracking purposes
  • Prepare specimens by dissecting, sectioning, and mapping tissues
  • Perform tissue processing and embedding techniques
  • Ensure proper documentation and data entry of all procedures
