Responsibilities as a Patient Care Technician

As a Patient Care Technician in our CVICU department, you will play a crucial role in assisting our medical team in delivering exceptional patient care services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs accurately
  • Providing assistance to patients with daily living activities
  • Administering medication under the supervision of registered nurses
  • Performing basic patient procedures and treatments
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

  • Valid certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT)
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a hospital or clinical setting
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
