Job Description:

Bay Regional Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in Ft. Lauderdale, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Officer to join our dedicated team. This per diem position offers a flexible schedule during dayshift hours, allowing you to work on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff
  • Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect any signs of unauthorized activities
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and promptly respond to any security concerns
  • Handle security incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders when necessary

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Strong observational and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
  • Valid security license/certification is preferred
