The Role of an ER Tech

As an ER Tech at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in the emergency department, assisting healthcare professionals in delivering efficient and effective care to patients. Some of your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with patient assessments and basic medical procedures
  • Obtaining vital signs and documenting patient information
  • Assisting with wound care and applying dressings
  • Transporting patients to various departments within the hospital
  • Providing emotional support to patients and their families

Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for the position of ER Tech - 24 hours (Day Shift), candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent
  2. Valid certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  3. Prior experience working in an emergency or hospital setting
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Ability to stay calm and composed in high-pressure situations
  6. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
