About the Infection Control Specialist Role

As an Infection Control Specialist at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a vital role in preventing and controlling infections within our facility. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and evaluating the occurrence of infections
  • Developing and implementing infection control policies and procedures
  • Educating and training staff on proper infection control measures
  • Conducting investigations on outbreaks and implementing appropriate control measures
  • Ensuring compliance with infection control guidelines and regulations

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field
  2. Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
  3. Strong knowledge of infectious diseases, epidemiology, and infection control practices
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
