Bay Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our team as a Medical Imaging Tech Assistant. In this role, you will provide critical support to our medical imaging department, ensuring the smooth execution of imaging procedures and the overall efficiency of the department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist medical imaging technicians in operating and maintaining imaging equipment.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including proper positioning and ensuring patient comfort.
- Administer contrast agents as required under the guidance of the medical staff.
- Ensure patient safety and confidentiality throughout the imaging process.
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately.
- Clean and maintain imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.
- Provide excellent patient care and address any concerns or questions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Tech Assistant program.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical imaging procedures and equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work well within a team.
- Current CPR certification.
