Job Description

As a Patient Care Technician at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and assisting with daily tasks. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
  • Administering medications as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Collecting patient specimens and performing basic laboratory tests
  • Assisting with patient transfers and mobility exercises
  • Ensuring a clean and safe patient environment
  • Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families

Qualifications

Successful candidates for the Patient Care Technician position should meet the following requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) or patient care technician (PCT) program
  3. Valid CPR certification
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  6. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  7. Positive attitude and empathy towards patients
