Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Cancer Registry Tech, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and detailed records of cancer cases. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting and verifying patient information and medical histories
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards
  • Abstracting and coding cancer-related data
  • Coordinating with healthcare professionals to gather necessary information
  • Conducting quality assurance reviews to ensure data accuracy

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of X years of experience working in a cancer registry
  • Proficiency in cancer staging and coding systems, such as AJCC and ICD-O
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards, including SEER and CoC
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data abstraction
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, while maintaining effective communication with team members
  • Certification as a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) is preferred
