Bay Regional Medical Center is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Worker on a 32-hour night shift. As a Mental Health Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals with mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with their day-to-day activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Observe and document patients' behavior and report any significant changes to the healthcare team
  • Encourage and engage patients in therapeutic activities to promote their mental well-being
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families, promoting a positive and caring environment
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Adhere to best practices and guidelines in mental health care

Requirements

To excel in the role of a Mental Health Worker, the following qualifications are essential:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid certification as a Mental Health Worker
  • Prior experience in a mental health or related healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends
