What Does an Infection Control Specialist Do?

As an Infection Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in preventing and controlling the spread of infectious diseases within our healthcare facility. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing infection control policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and investigating potential outbreaks or infections
  • Educating staff on proper infection control protocols

Requirements:

To be considered for the Infection Control Specialist position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, or a related field
  • Previous experience in infection control or a similar role
  • Knowledge of current infection control practices and guidelines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of safety
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred
