Responsibilities:

As a Surgical Tech in our OPSN department, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
  • Assisting the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
  • Maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room
  • Anticipating the needs of surgeons and nurses during procedures
  • Ensuring proper handling and disposal of surgical specimens
  • Assisting with patient positioning and preparation for surgery

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program
  • Valid Surgical Technologist certification
  • Prior experience in a similar role preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
