About the Position: Patient Care Tech on 5 East St. Mary Mercy Livonia

As a Patient Care Tech on 5 East at St. Mary Mercy Livonia, you would play a vital role in assisting healthcare professionals in providing exceptional care to our patients. You will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients under supervision.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist nurses and physicians with patient care activities
  • Measure and record vital signs
  • Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the medical staff
  • Provide hygiene assistance to patients, such as bathing and grooming
  • Assist with mobility and transfers
  • Ensure patient rooms are clean and organized
  • Document patient information accurately
  • Support patients' emotional and psychological needs

Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
