At Bay Regional Medical Center, we are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our esteemed Michigan Medicine Geriatric Department. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a specialized field, providing care for older adults with complex medical conditions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assessing patients' health conditions and implementing appropriate nursing interventions
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs and documenting observations accurately
  • Ensuring patients' comfort and safety at all times
  • Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Participating in ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in geriatric nursing
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records

Qualifications and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Michigan
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in geriatric nursing
  • Advanced certifications in geriatric nursing preferred

  • Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and best practices
