Your Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician on the 5 East unit will work closely with registered nurses, physicians, and support staff to provide patient-centered care. Responsibilities of the PCT include:

  • Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Collecting specimens for laboratory testing and accurately documenting patient information.
  • Assisting with patient mobility and transfers.
  • Ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients.
