Join our Team as a Phlebotomist - PT/Days

Are you passionate about helping others? Are you interested in a career in healthcare? Bay Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team on a part-time basis during the day shift. In this role, you will play a critical role in patient care by collecting blood samples for laboratory testing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures to collect blood samples
  • Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling of specimens
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures
  • Document and record patient information accurately
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
  • Valid certification or licensure as a phlebotomist
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Understanding of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
