If you are a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in PreOp/PACU, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team on a full-time basis. This position offers (3) 12-hour shifts per week, allowing for a good work-life balance. Additionally, you will be required to work every other weekend to ensure continuous patient care.
Your Role
As a PreOp/PACU RN, you will play a crucial role in the perioperative care of our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing patients' health conditions prior to surgery
- Preparing patients for surgery, including obtaining consent and completing necessary documentation
- Administering appropriate medications and treatments
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and ensuring their comfort and safety during the recovery phase
- Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition between PreOp and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Providing education and emotional support to patients and their families
- Documenting all patient interactions and maintaining accurate medical records
Requirements
In order to be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and RN licensed in the state of Michigan
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN, preferably in a PreOp/PACU setting
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring patient safety
