Our highly proficient team of childbirth educators consists of registered nurses (RNs) with extensive knowledge and experience in obstetric care. Our childbirth educators provide detailed guidance on creating a safe sleep environment for newborns, including the following recommendations:
- Placing babies on their backs to sleep
- Using a firm crib mattress, free of pillows or soft bedding
- Avoiding co-sleeping and sharing the same bed with the baby
- Maintaining a smoke-free environment
- Avoiding overheating the room and ensuring the baby is dressed comfortably
- Using proper sleepwear and avoiding loose blankets
- Regular check-ups to monitor the baby's growth and development
