Responsibilities of a Cardiac Sonographer

As a Cardiac Sonographer at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in helping diagnose and treat heart conditions in patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing cardiac ultrasound examinations using sophisticated diagnostic equipment
  • Interpreting and analyzing ultrasound images to identify abnormalities or potential heart conditions
  • Collaborating with physicians to determine appropriate treatment plans based on test results
  • Documenting patient information, procedures performed, and test results accurately

Qualifications and Requirements

Bay Regional Medical Center is looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited cardiac sonography program
  • Certification: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification is required
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
  • Skills: Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting ultrasound equipment, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
