About the Role

The role of a Patient Care Tech (PCT) at Bay Regional Medical Center is a crucial one. PCTs work closely with the nursing staff to provide direct patient care and support. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key responsibilities of a PCT include:

  • Assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and feeding
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Assisting with medical procedures and treatments
  • Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment

Requirements

To be eligible for a Patient Care Tech position at Bay Regional Medical Center, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Medical Assistant certification (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a similar role (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
