Responsibilities

As a Retail Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless pharmacy operations and exceptional patient service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Accurate dispensing and labeling of prescription medications
  • Collaboration with pharmacists to ensure safety and compliance
  • Providing exceptional customer service and assistance to patients
  • Managing inventory and maintaining stock levels
  • Processing insurance claims and coordinating billing
  • Assisting with medication compounding and filling
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and possesses excellent communication and customer service skills. This role requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, dosage calculations, and familiarity with medication safety protocols.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Retail Pharmacy Technician position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. State-issued Pharmacy Technician certification
  3. Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting
  4. Knowledge of pharmacy law and regulations
  5. Strong computer skills and proficiency in pharmacy software systems

Additionally, candidates with a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification will be given preference.
