Role Overview: Patient Transport Driver

As a Patient Transport Driver at Bay Regional Medical Center's Saint Joseph PACE, you will play a crucial role in assisting our participants with transportation to and from medical appointments, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Transporting patients from their residences to healthcare facilities and vice versa
  • Ensuring patients are safely secured during transportation
  • Assisting patients with entering and exiting the vehicle
  • Maintaining a clean and well-equipped vehicle
  • Communicating effectively with the healthcare team regarding any updates or changes in transportation schedule
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients and their families

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for the position of Patient Transport Driver, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care

Experience in a healthcare or similar setting is preferred but not required.
