Job Description

As a Technical Specialist in Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) testing, you will play a crucial role in our laboratory team. You will be responsible for performing and coordinating complex HLA testing procedures, ensuring accuracy and timely results. Your expertise will contribute to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various diseases, particularly those related to immunology and transplantation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform HLA testing using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and techniques
  • Ensure adherence to established protocols and quality control measures
  • Accurately interpret test results and report findings to healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize processes
  • Maintain laboratory records, equipment, and supplies in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Stay updated with advancements in HLA testing technology and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, or a related field
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
  • Strong understanding of HLA testing principles and methodologies
  • Experience with HLA testing software and laboratory information systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative laboratory environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
