Responsibilities of a PCT in NICU

As a Patient Care Technician in our NICU department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of healthcare professionals and ensuring the well-being of our little patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the daily care routines of newborns, including feeding, bathing, and diaper changing.
  • Monitoring vital signs and promptly reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
  • Preparing and maintaining medical equipment and supplies.
  • Supporting families by providing them with emotional support and educational resources.
  • Collaborating with nurses and doctors to administer medications and treatments.
  • Documenting patient information and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program is preferred.
