About the Role

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a vital role in the diagnostic imaging process. Using ultrasound equipment, you will perform various scans to capture images of patients' internal organs and tissues. These images are crucial in aiding physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Performing ultrasound scans as per physician's orders
  • Ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures
  • Recording pertinent patient information and maintaining accurate records
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret and report scan results
  • Maintaining and calibrating ultrasound equipment
  • Staying up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques

Qualifications and Skills

  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • ARDMS certification or equivalent
