The Role of a Payment Posting Representative-I

As a Payment Posting Representative-I within our Medical Claims department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient payment processing for medical claims. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Payment Processing: Accurately posting payments received from insurance companies, patients, and other sources.
  • Claim Reconciliation: Ensuring that payments align with the corresponding claims and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Account Reconciliation: Matching posted payments with patient accounts and updating records accordingly.
  • Denial Management: Investigating denied claims, correcting errors, and resubmitting for payment.
  • Provider Communication: Collaborating with healthcare providers to resolve payment-related inquiries or issues.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical billing and payment posting.
