Recreation Therapist - Inpatient Psychiatry - Part Time

Responsibilities

As a Recreation Therapist in our Inpatient Psychiatry department, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing therapeutic recreational programs and activities
  • Assessing patients' needs and creating individual treatment plans
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
  • Evaluating and documenting patients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to patients
  • Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for all participants

Qualifications

To be considered for the Recreation Therapist position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field
  • Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
  • Prior experience working with individuals with mental health conditions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Passion for promoting wellness and improving patients' quality of life
