Your Role as a Breast Health Nurse Navigator

As a Breast Health Nurse Navigator, you will play a vital role in guiding patients through their breast health journey. Your duties may include:

  • Providing education and support to patients and their families
  • Assisting with diagnostic procedures and treatment planning

Qualifications and Skills

To thrive in this role, the following qualifications and skills are required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field
  • A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut
  • At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in oncology or women's health
  • Strong knowledge of breast health, breast anatomy, and related diseases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Additionally, certification as a Breast Care Nurse Navigator (CBCN) or willingness to obtain certification within the first year of employment is preferred.
