Emergency Room Technician Position

At Bay Regional Medical Center, we have a rewarding opportunity for a Part Time Emergency Room Technician to join our team at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. As an Emergency Room Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare professionals in providing prompt and efficient care to patients in need of emergency medical attention.

Your Responsibilities

As an Emergency Room Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the triage and assessment of patients
  • Performing basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and collecting specimens
  • Preparing and maintaining medical supplies and equipment
  • Assisting with patient transfers and transportation
  • Providing emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families
  • Ensuring a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

To qualify for the Part Time Emergency Room Technician position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or equivalent
  • Prior experience in an emergency room or similar setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and in high-stress situations
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility to work daytime shifts, including weekends and holidays
