Job Description
Bay Regional Medical Center is currently seeking an experienced ACLS Instructor to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about educating and training healthcare professionals in the life-saving techniques of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
As an ACLS Instructor, you will be responsible for designing and facilitating ACLS courses, teaching essential skills and knowledge required for effective emergency cardiovascular care. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of training are delivered to our staff, as well as external participants.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ACLS, excellent teaching abilities, and a genuine passion for improving patient outcomes through education.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive ACLS courses, incorporating current guidelines and best practices.
- Facilitate hands-on training sessions, allowing participants to gain practical experience in conducting ACLS protocols.
- Evaluate the performance and competence of participants through practical assessments and written exams.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to support the professional development of participants.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ACLS protocols and instructional methodologies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify training needs and develop customized courses as required.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the ACLS training program.
Requirements
- Valid ACLS Instructor certification from an accredited organization.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an ACLS Instructor.
- Strong knowledge of current ACLS guidelines and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and informative training sessions.
- Proven track record of staying updated with the latest advancements in ACLS.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
