About the Vascular Technologist Position
The role of a Vascular Technologist is to perform diagnostic tests and imaging procedures to evaluate the blood vessels and circulation system of patients. As a Vascular Technologist at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct various non-invasive vascular testing procedures, including ultrasound and Doppler exams.
- Evaluate and analyze test results to identify abnormalities or potential issues.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop accurate and detailed reports on patient exams.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results.
- Stay up-to-date with new techniques and technologies in the field of vascular technology.
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
- Minimum of two years of experience in performing vascular ultrasound and Doppler exams.
- Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and related software.
