Position Overview: Dosimetrist

As a Dosimetrist at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in radiation therapy treatment planning processes. You will work closely with radiation oncologists and other medical professionals to calculate radiation doses and develop treatment plans for patients. We are seeking individuals who are detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills, and possess a deep understanding of medical physics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists to design accurate treatment plans for cancer patients.
  • Use advanced computer software to calculate radiation dose distributions.
  • Ensure precise radiation delivery by conducting quality assurance tests.
  • Collaborate with the radiation therapy team to monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Dosimetry or related field.
  • Certification: Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dosimetrist.
  • Skills: Proficient in treatment planning systems and radiation therapy equipment.
