Job Description
As an RN in our Cardiovascular PCU, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients with cardiac conditions. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to monitor and manage patients' conditions, administer medications, provide education, and ensure the overall well-being of each patient under your care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of patients' conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patients' conditions.
- Provide patient and family education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and progress.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Current and valid RN license in the state.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
- Certification in Cardiovascular Nursing (CCRN) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends as required.
