Are you a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse looking for a rewarding career opportunity? Look no further! Bay Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a skilled RN to join our Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a part-time basis.

Job Description

As an RN in our Cardiovascular PCU, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients with cardiac conditions. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to monitor and manage patients' conditions, administer medications, provide education, and ensure the overall well-being of each patient under your care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of patients' conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patients' conditions.
  • Provide patient and family education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and progress.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Current and valid RN license in the state.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Certification in Cardiovascular Nursing (CCRN) preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends as required.
