Responsibilities

As an Emergency Medicine Pharmacist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Preparing and dispensing medications to patients in the emergency department.
  • Providing drug information and clinical support to the healthcare team.
  • Monitoring patient responses to medications and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participating in medication reconciliation and medication therapy management.
  • Ensuring compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Active pharmacy license in the state of Idaho.
  • Previous experience in emergency medicine pharmacy is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of emergency medications and treatment protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and make critical decisions.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
