Role Overview: Patient Support Tech or Medical Assistant-Wound Care

As a Patient Support Tech or Medical Assistant specializing in Wound Care at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in assisting and supporting our interdisciplinary team in delivering exceptional wound care services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting healthcare professionals in wound assessment and management
  • Providing wound dressings and ensuring proper wound hygiene
  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs
  • Ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Supporting patients and their families with emotional and educational needs

Requirements

To excel in this role, the following qualifications are required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Prior experience working in a wound care setting is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
