The Lab Tech - Anatomic Pathology Job Opportunity

Are you passionate about the field of Anatomic Pathology? Bay Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Lab Tech to join our team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of Anatomic Pathology and make a difference in the lives of our patients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform various laboratory tests and experiments on samples obtained from patients
  • Prepare and analyze tissue specimens accurately and efficiently
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information
  • Maintain detailed records of tests, procedures, and results
  • Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated with the latest advancements in Anatomic Pathology

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
  • Valid certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
  • Prior experience in Anatomic Pathology is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in utilizing laboratory equipment and software
  • Basic understanding of laboratory safety procedures and protocols
  • Dedication to providing exceptional patient care
