The Role of a Patient Care Technician

As a Patient Care Technician at Bay Regional, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team in providing top-notch patient care. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, assisting with various tasks and procedures that contribute to the overall well-being of our patients. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Taking vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Assisting patients with daily activities, including bathing and grooming
  • Collecting patient specimens and facilitating lab tests
  • Administering medications as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Monitoring patients' condition and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
  • Ensuring a clean and safe patient environment

Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for the position of Patient Care Technician, we require the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
