Job Description

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in the diagnostic process by performing ultrasound imaging on patients. You will work closely with physicians and other medical staff to provide accurate and detailed images to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. This part-time position offers 20 hours per week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting ultrasound examinations using specialized equipment
  • Preparing patients for procedures and explaining the imaging process
  • Positioning patients and equipment to obtain high-quality images
  • Analyzing images and sharing findings with physicians
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
  • Ensuring equipment is properly maintained and calibrated

Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • A degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
  • Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Experience in performing ultrasound imaging
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
