Bay Regional Medical Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Mother Baby unit. As a Registered Nurse in our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to new mothers and their babies during their stay at our hospital.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse in the Mother Baby unit, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing the health status of new mothers and babies
- Monitoring vital signs and providing appropriate care
- Assisting with breastfeeding and lactation support
- Educating new mothers about postpartum care and newborn care
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Managing any complications or emergencies that may arise
- Providing emotional support and counseling to new mothers
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients
- Administering medications and following protocols
- Documenting patient information accurately
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for the Registered Nurse - Mother Baby position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Valid RN license in the state of Maryland
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of maternal and newborn health
- Exceptional clinical and critical thinking skills
