The Role of a Full-Time After Hours Hospice RN

As a full-time after hours hospice RN at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing skilled nursing care to hospice patients in their homes
  • Managing pain and symptoms to ensure comfort
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
  • Assessing and addressing patient and family emotional and psychological needs
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families
  • Documenting all care and interventions accurately and timely

Qualifications and Requirements

We are looking for qualified RNs who meet the following requirements:

  • Current and valid RN license in the state of Michigan
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • Prior experience in hospice or palliative care is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
