Bay Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a full-time PACU Assistant to join our dynamic Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and organization of the PACU for patient care
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with post-operative recovery
- Assist with patient positioning and transportation
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with documentation and record-keeping
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Prior experience in a PACU or similar clinical setting preferred
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Current CPR certification
