As an ECG Tech, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and monitoring cardiovascular conditions through the use of electrocardiograms (ECGs).

Responsibilities

As an ECG Tech at Bay Regional Medical Center, your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing electrocardiograms (ECGs) on patients
  • Preparing patients for ECG procedures
  • Monitoring patient vital signs during ECG tests
  • Ensuring accurate recording and reporting of ECG results
  • Assisting physicians with the interpretation of ECG findings
  • Maintaining and calibrating ECG equipment
  • Providing technical support to other healthcare professionals
  • Adhering to established safety and quality standards

Requirements

To qualify for the ECG Tech position, the following requirements must be met:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited ECG technician program
  • Experience in performing ECG tests
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Current certification as an ECG Technician is preferred
