Overview

As an Athletic Trainer at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive care to athletes of all levels. Your primary responsibility will be to prevent, assess, and treat injuries sustained during physical activities. You will work closely with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that optimize recovery and help athletes return to their optimal performance.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess athletes' physical condition and injuries
  • Create personalized treatment plans and provide therapeutic interventions
  • Implement injury prevention strategies through training and educational programs
  • Collaborate with physicians and physical therapists to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Administer first aid and emergency care when necessary
  • Monitor athletes' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Document and maintain accurate medical records
  • Educate athletes on proper techniques, conditioning, and injury prevention
  • Participate in outreach programs to promote sports safety and performance enhancement

Qualifications

To be considered for the position of Athletic Trainer, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
  • Certification: Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
  • Licensure: Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Athletic Trainer
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
