Responsibilities

As a Medical Assistant at University Park Family Medicine, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support to our healthcare providers and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. Some of your responsibilities may include:

  • Preparing patients for examinations and procedures
  • Taking vital signs and documenting patient information
  • Assisting physicians during examinations and treatments
  • Administering medications and injections as instructed
  • Performing basic laboratory tests and specimen collection
  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient records
  • Providing patient education and support

Requirements

To be considered for the Medical Assistant position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
