Certified Medical Assistant Responsibilities

As a Certified Medical Assistant in Behavioral Health, you will play a vital role in the patient care team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting psychiatrists and psychologists in conducting patient assessments
  • Administering medications under the supervision of healthcare providers
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs and documenting observations
  • Coordinating patient appointments and managing medical records
  • Providing support to patients and their families
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Qualifications

To be considered for the Certified Medical Assistant position in Behavioral Health at Bay Regional Medical Center, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a certified medical assisting program
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health practices and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
