Job Description

As a Patient Companion - Sitter, Attendant at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients. In this role, you will provide continuous observation and assistance to patients, helping with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment and promoting a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one patient observation and assistance.
  • Assist patients with mobility, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  • Respond to patient requests promptly and professionally.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to support patient care.
  • Report any changes in patient condition to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document observations accurately and thoroughly.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role of Patient Companion - Sitter, Attendant, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts as needed.
