About the Role

As a full-time Medical Social Worker at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall well-being of our patients. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive social work services to individuals and their families, ensuring their mental, emotional, and social needs are effectively met. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting psychosocial assessments and developing individualized care plans
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to establish appropriate interventions
  • Providing counseling and support to patients and their families
  • Assisting patients in accessing community resources and support programs
  • Advocating for patients' rights and addressing any ethical issues that may arise

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
  • Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare or hospital setting
  • Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
