About the Position

As a Pharmacist at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate medication dispensing and providing pharmaceutical care to our patients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Medication Review and Dispensing: Carefully reviewing medication orders and dispensing the appropriate medications to patients.
  • Patient Consultation: Communicating with patients and healthcare providers to provide medication-related information and ensure patient safety.
  • Pharmacy Operations: Collaborating with pharmacy staff to maintain inventory, manage medication recalls, and optimize pharmacy workflow.
  • Quality Assurance: Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance medication safety and overall patient care.

Requirements

To be eligible for the Pharmacist position, the following qualifications are required:

  • A valid Pharmacist license in the state of Connecticut.
  • Prior experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical therapies and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
